Losing my grip on sanity
Help...........I think I'm ready to be carted off by those nice chaps who provide you with jackets that do up at the back. I was on duty today and had an applicant who wanted to refuse a offer of temporary accommodation as he said the living room wasn't big enough for his home cinema system!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello,
Ty for sticking up a link to my blog. I worked as Homelessness officer in a LA many years ago. I left because amoungst other things I couldn't cope with telling people who i thought were in priority need that they weren't (as my manager who was also the reviewing officer had told me so).
Having recovered from severe depression about 8 years later I got my butt around working for the voluntary sector and it's nice to have had experience of working on both sides of the fence so to speak.
I look forward to reading more entries from you.
